As part of autism acceptance week 2019 I have decided to commit myself to a massive personal challenge..... jumping from a plane at around 10,000ft and flying through the air at speeds of up to 180mph...to say I am terrified is an understatement.....✈️
So why do it? Something I have been asking myself since I signed up two weeks ago and something I am still asking myself while I type this out!🤔
⭐️In a word AUTISM....⭐️
⭐️I have the privilege to do a job that I love, working with a fantastic charity that works tirelessly to change lives. ⭐️
My role as family Development Manager means I get the chance to support families at a time when they really need it. The need for this type of suppport for families and autistic individuals is increasingly high but unfortunately can be difficult to fund.Much of the work that me and my team do is reliant on grants and fundraising...... hence part of the reason for doing what I am doing (alongside my colleague Becca Welch)
As well as raising vital funds this event gives a chance to raise awareness and acceptance and is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate my commitment and passion for the amazing individuals I Know in both my professional and personal life.
So for all the fantastic individuals out there past, present and future (including my own brother) ...this one is for you!! #totallyterrified #wishmeluck #goingforgold ⭐️✈️
Much love 💕 Kerrie 🤩
