Story
When I took early retirement at the end of February I never thought it would be headlong into self-isolation! So much for long walks, lunches & travel plans. Also Covid has put the kybosh on doing the MacMillan mighty hike so I thought I could put the new cross trainer to good use, get fit & do some isolation fund raising instead! I must be a bit mad but having trained & I think I can achieve 6 marathons within 7 days. My shielding husband Graeme will record results each day (& hopefully provide refreshing drinks)! This is 26 miles (42 km) per marathon a total of 156 miles (252 km). Macmillan are an excellent cause; they were there for me during my brush with breast cancer last year & for my father in law during his final weeks several years ago. They continue to be there if needed. There are a lot of excellent causes out there looking for donations but if you can spare a couple of quid it would be most appreciated. I will do my best (starting 13 May)! Thank you!
