The Stars Appeal raises funds for state-of-the-art equipment and new facilities at Salisbury District Hospital above and beyond those provided by the NHS.  The current major goal is the Caring 4 Kids campaign.  In 2011 a new Special Care Baby Unit will open, over 9,000 children each year are treated in the Accident and Emergency Department, Stars Appeal want to give these children and their families their own dedicated waiting and treatment area.
