Story
'Third time lucky', 'third time's a charm', 'good things come in threes'... sadly cancer doesn't follow these expressions as, after feeling unwell for a few months I've recently found out my cancer is back once again for a third time.
This time it's sitting on my upper bowel which means more major surgery to have it removed followed by a long recovery. It's rubbish news to have to share and the reason I've been quiet for a while but now the shock has worn off I'm once again determined to turn what is a horrible situation into something positive. After previously doing various races for life (raising over £3000 and getting into the top three percent of fundraisers), donating clothes and other small contributions to cancer research I'm now planning to raise money for Sarcoma UK, a charity that specialises in sarcomas, the rare type of cancer that I have. I'm determined to smash my previous total and again raise awareness, (especially as sarcoma is one of the lesser known yet harder to diagnose and treat types of cancer) as well as giving me something to focus on in my upcoming recovery. More information will be shared in the near future on these plans but in the meantime please feel free to click on the following link if you want to donate to this small charity to help support all the work they do.
Three also happens to be my lucky number and yet again, family and friends have all showed me so much love and support so be warned cancer... I've kicked your ass twice before and I'll damn well do it again.
Thank you for visiting my page.I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat. We can help change this. By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments. Your donation will also raise awareness of the symptoms of sarcoma to help patients get an early diagnosis, and ensure everyone has access to specialist advice.Thank you for your support.
