1 in 3 people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime unless we bring about life-changing preventions and treatments. Dementia is not a natural part of aging. It is caused by physical diseases, most commonly Alzheimers. The damage to a brain with Alzheimers can leave it weighing 140g less than a healthy one. Thats about the weight of an orange.
