“What's the bravest thing you ever said?” asked the boy. “Help” said the horse. “Asking for help isn't giving up,” said the horse, “it's refusing to give up.” 

Ever since I was little, I have always known that I would want a family one day. Sadly this hasn't been as straight forward as we thought it might be when we were younger. We have been facing infertility for a few years now and finally fell pregnant in the summer of 2022. This ended in an early miscarriage and took a long time to resolve. We then began IVF in 2023 and found out that we were pregnant from our first try on the morning of my 30th birthday. This ended in a miscarriage at 9 weeks and was surgically managed. This whole process over the last few years has taken its toll both emotionally and physically. Time Norfolk really has been a lifeline. Time Norfolk ensures that each week there is a safe, non-judgemental space to explore the challenges relating to baby loss and infertility. I am so grateful to the support they continue to give and I am so determined to raise money for them and raise awareness too. There is a huge stigma surrounding baby loss and its long lasting effects within society and it's something that needs to change. Baby loss is common, the statistics are frightening but the lack of support and understanding is also troubling. Time Norfolk not only support those who have been affected, but they help educate employers, professionals and supporters too. 

Running a 10k, and more specifically Run Norwich, has been something that I have always wanted to achieve and this year seems like the best opportunity to do this. I have no doubt that it is going to be a huge challenge for me and I am working really hard to get to the point where I can finish the run with pride. I am seeking to improve my own mental health whilst raising money and awareness for the most deserving charity.
