Following on from my adventures last year, I’ve signed up to a 250km self-supported race in Madagascar – yes, I am officially a little crazy! The race will begin at the end of August and I have a lot of training and preparation to do before then. In July I’ll be heading to Mongolia for a bit of “light” training (100km cross-country) and to simulate the Madagascar race conditions, I’ll be carrying a weighted backpack.

I’ve learnt that these events are 10% fitness and 90% mental and as such, have decided to raise money for Demelza Hospice once again – knowing I am doing this to support a charity close to my heart and in memory of a very special little girl will help keep me going when my feet and legs are telling me to stop.  My cousin's beautiful little girl Keira lost her battle shortly before her 4th birthday and both Keira and her family were looked after by the amazing staff at Demelza. Please dig deep and help me support this fantastic charity.
