Brighterway is the name of our charity at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust where I work.  Southern Health is a community physical and mental health provider looking after the health and wellbeing of patients, service users, families & staff across the whole of Hampshire.

Brighterway raises money to support a number of community projects and innovation as well as creating a positive workplace for our staff  which isn’t normally funded by the NHS. This allows us to be really creative in what we can do but naturally relies on fund raising to truly make a difference.

To achieve this, myself, colleagues and service users have come together to take part and run the Southampton 10k or Half Marathon.  Some of the team run regularly, some when they can and some have never run before, so not only will this event demonstrate great team work to get across the finish line, it will also recognise everyone's personal hard work and commitment to raise the profile of our fabulous charity Brighterway.
