Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page I am a huge advocate for muscular dystrophy.

Muscular Dystrophy is a condition that affects over 70,000 people in the UK, myself included. This isn't just my story It's also my mum and brother, we all have a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy, FHL1 gene mutation commonly known as myofribillar myopathy.

Big 60 Challenge ~ I'm going to be doing 10 minutes over 6 days on my motorised exercise bike.

I'm taking part in the #Big60Challenge for Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK), for more than 60 years, MDUK has been funding world-class research into potential treatments and has been there to provide vital support for families living with over 60 rare muscle-wasting conditions. Unfortunately, like many charities, the COVID-19 pandemic is having a big impact on MDUK's fundraising events and MDUK estimates a loss of £2.8m of income this year. It's so important that they're here to continue their work for the years to come and I hope to help by taking on my #Big60Challenge

Life living with muscular dystrophy is far from a walk in the park! There are many ongoing challenges, Helping support individuals and families living with different types of Muscular Dystrophy, please donate & help spread the word.
