Suffolk Historic Churches Trust-34th Bike Ride and Walk · 12 September 2015
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are taking on this cycling challenge on Saturday 12th September to raise money for our local church St. Andrews in Alderton, Suffolk where we got married on 12th October 2013 (so the ride will be 1 month before our 2nd wedding anniversary!). The church dates back to the 14th Century and the Tower was added in the 15th Century. It is said that the tower fell on a fateful day in 1821, killing an unfortunate cow wandering beneath ! The Parish Council would like to restore the tower and also install running water & toilet facilities, all of which involve a substantial cost. We are hoping that we can do our bit for the church on this ride to start the fundraising off.
We will be cycling from one local church to another starting from Bawdsey, via Alderton, Ramsholt, Shottisham,, Hollesley and back to Alderton a total of 16 miles. If anyone would like to sponsor our efforts and raise funds for our local church & the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust, this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Kerry & Steve Pratt
