VSO ICS** · 31 January 2020 to 31 December 2020 ·

VSO is an international development organisation that brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. Everyday, VSO volunteers are working to empower people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. From a young age, I have always had this deep desire to help other people, to bring a little kindness and happiness into their world. So I’m really excited to tell you that I have been selected to volunteer overseas with VSO on an International Citizen Service placement. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help, working together with communities that are struggling in poverty.

The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £800 towards the work of VSO and their ICS partners. The money that I raise will go towards ICS in order to help make long lasting differences in disadvantaged communites. My placement will be placed in Tanzania, Africa and my departure is set to be January 2018. I will be living and working here for a couple of months, working to help better other peoples lives. Any
contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries so I will be eternally grateful if you could donate! Even if it's as little as a £1 or less! I will be doing many activities such as hosting food and wine nights, car boot sales, dog walking and trekking the Kinder Scout trail in the Peak District hopefully later on this year! Also, I will be doing many bake sales so you are more than welcome to enjoy some cupcakes :)

Thank you all for your support!!

Love, Sian.
