I think we may have lost our minds but at this point it’s the only good(ish) idea we’ve had for the 2.6 Challenge so here are the rules:

1.) The first 26 donors can choose a movie moment. 

2.) Most moments will be film stills however if an individuals donation exceeds £35 we will create a mini video clip for their chosen film. If our total exceeds £800 we will make 26 videos.

3.) All suggestions must be family friendly (we have a toddler who will be present and participating where relevant) and bear in mind there are only three of us.

4.) All sponsors will receive a copy of the finished work.

Why are we doing this? Both of us work for Saltmine Trust, Ben as an Actor/Director and Bethany as Costume/Set/All-round Designer. We passionately believe in what Saltmine Theatre Company does and the impact it has on so many lives. From educating young people in a creative way on the dangers of knife crime, domestic abuse and internet safety to putting on a passion play in the centre of Birmingham what Saltmine does matters and has a lasting positive effect on lives.

Like so many charities (and theatre companies) across the UK Saltmine have been drastically impacted by COVID-19. The ban on mass gatherings, shut down of schools and loss of fundraising income impacts all our work and leaves us with an uncertain future.
