We explore sea, ships, time and stars to connect people with our heritage

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in honour of Cutty Sark.

We are ultra-endurance athletes, who are passionate about adventure. We love the history and traditions that we discover on our travels, and enjoy the friendships and people who have crossed paths with us along the way. We have raced in Ironman, Ultraman and Marathon events around the globe, always for fun and fitness.

In an effort to make our London Marathon journey more meaningful, we wanted to put our energy towards something with a grand legacy that has stood the test of time. We were intrigued with the notion of supporting something tangible, a piece of history rich in stories of adventure.
 Enter Cutty Sark.

Built in Scotland, Cutty Sark is the world’s only surviving extreme clipper. She took her maiden voyage on February 16, 1870 and since then, she has survived stormy seas, war, neglect, old age and fire. This ship is a survivor, and now resides in Greenwich England as a memorial to the Merchant Navy.

Driven by her strength and resilience, we are honoured to be running the London Marathon to support the preservation of this magnificent ship.  On our quest, we will be running the Boston Marathon on April 18th, then flying to London to run in the London Marathon on April 24th - just 6 days later!

We hope you will join our efforts and offer a donation through our secure 'JustGiving' page.
