Story
In Oct 21, one of my best friends was taken from us far far too early. Marcus Durber (Durbs) was a legend of the RAMC, touching the hearts of anyone lucky enough to meet him. I knew Durbs my entire Army Career (around 28 years by the time he passed away) and we frequently crossed paths along the way, our families are still friends to this day. Durbs was one of the finest human beings ever to grace the face of the earth.
In memory of Durbs, I plan to complete a charity event over 3 days which i expect to finish on what would have been Marcus' birthday. I will be accompanied by a small team and between 27 Feb and 1 Mar 23, we will walk the length of Hadrian's wall unaided, camping each night. This will mean carrying everything we need from food, water, camping gear to replacement feet and hips on our backs. Hadrians Wall is registered at approx 85 miles which will mean covering around 28 miles each day.
We will be raising money for Combat Stress which was a charity close to Durbs' heart and for which he raised lots of money himself over the years.
Please give as generously as you are able and I will try my best to do Durbs proud.
