Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi, My name is Ethan J Watson-Chatterley, age 14 and I am a SEA CADET from the Long Eaton Sea Cadet Corp Unit based in Long Eaton Nottingham. We are a charity, run by volenteer staff, some of which are ex-sevice personel. we have a good selection of young people both male and female aged between 12-18 and our activities are wide ranging from basic seamanship training to off-shore sailing, all of the activities are paid for by fund raising and donations we get the occaisional donation from our sponcer ship HMS PROTECTOR and some help from the Marine Society but mostly from donations made by members of the local community.

We have to do a lot of traveling to different locations throughout the year and we have had our old faithfull Mini Bus for quite some time but it's just about had it now and on it's last legs,

So, on MAY 18th 2012 I am doing a sponcered walk called the SIX SUMMITS CHALLANGE WALK over the six highest peaks in Shropshire covering 36.5 miles in 36 hours all across country and navigating with only a survey map and compass, i have to carry all my own equipment including Tent,Food ,Sleeping bag ,Clothes and anything else that i need for the walk.

I am doing this walk solo although an adult will be monitering me all the way for Health and Safety reasons as i am only 14.

We have some sponcers already but as you can guess we need quite a few more to get a mini bus.

This organization (sea cadets) is a brilliant thing to do it gives a lot of kids the chance to better themselves on many levels including the opportunity to do a Duke of Edinbrough award and a lot of cadets also finish up joining the ROYAL NAVY and protecting our country.

So, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me to achive our goal by giving us some of your hard earned cash and in turn help the kids not just of our area but all over to achive a better tomorrow for them selves.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my page and best wishes for the year to come.
