Event Cancelled

Due to a lack of entrants the The Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay has been forced to cancel this year's abseil down Southend-on-Sea Civic Centre.

Only approximately half the required number of people have stepped up to the challenge!

The club will still make payments to the pre-named charities for sponsors who wish to leave their donations in place despite the cancellation of the event and we will particularly consider support of Prostate Cancer in the Borough of Southend-on-Sea.

The Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay is holding an abseiling event to help raise funds to support relief for cancer sufferers in the Southend on Sea, Essex area.

The monies raised will go to charities in the town supporting cancer care for both sufferers and carers. Our primary aim will be to aid those cancer groups which support the less commonly known prostate and gynaecological cancers.
