Story

On Sunday 26 April 2020, Claire and thousands of others should have been running the 40th London Marathon. To try and spread some positivity and to help charities that are struggling during the current challenging times, Claire and Kevin have decided to cycle and run for 12 hours straight (from 8am to 8pm) on Sunday whilst raising much needed funds for Haven House Children's Hospice.

During the 12 hours, we will cycle at least 262km and 2,620m of altitude (symbolising the 26.2 miles of the marathon) and on the run we will each run part of the London Marathon route. Because that isn't enough, every hour whoever is not cycling/running will do 26 exercises (eg 26 burpees, sit-ups, etc).

Do not worry, we will not be breaching government guidance during this challenge! All of the cycling will be done on a turbo trainer inside our flat (we will create meetups on Zwift so let us know if you'd like to join us) and we will only do one 60 minute run each outside.

Like many charities, Haven House Children's Hospice are struggling during the covid-19 pandemic and their future is currently uncertain. Therefore, your donations and generosity will be much appreciated by not only us but by many children, families and carers. Thank you!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
