Team Police is going to win!! Meet the players from Team Police and the Team Police mascots!

Story

After being born, Millie's mum and dad noticed that she wasn't looking at them like normal developing babies.  They took her to the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital where she was diagnosed with Delayed Visual Maturation.  After 12 weeks she began to have subtle seizures that no one knew about.  These seizures started to become more noticeable and, one day after having around 450 mini seizures, Millie's mum and dad took her to RACH where they did lots of tests.  The next day she was diagnosed with West Syndrome, a very rare and serious form of epilepsy, which had a combination of infantile spasms, hypoarrhythmia and mental retardation.  Millie was given some medicine which stopped the seizures but they had already damaged her brain quite significantly.  This was just the start of Millie's RACH journey and 6 years later she still spends time with specialist staff to help her talk, use her hands and run.  Millie along with her mum and dad have raised over £21,000 for ARCHIE to say thank you for saving her.  Millie is strong and determined to achieve more than anyone thought possible.  She wants to be a mascot to be able to say her own thank you to ARCHIE in makaton.

Millie has been partnered with the captain of Team Police, Kevin.  Kevin is a Police Officer in Peterhead and he is excited to be taking part in the Battle of the Badges.  He is most looking forward to Millie cheering him on, on the day!
