Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Edinburgh Half marathon for the second time for Parkinson's UK Edinburgh Branch (this will be my 17th Half Marathon in total).
Last year I picked up a knee injury and it wasn't until less than 2 weeks before the event that I decided to run. So I didn't get much time to fundraise for Parkinson's then.
I did finish last year, but had decided beforehand that if the knee gave any problem I would stop - I had other runs planned for the year.
So at the moment training is going well and I am looking forward to the run.
As some of you know I also teach tai chi and have a Tai Chi for Parkinson's class for Edinburgh Branch.
I have been asked how does tai chi and running fit together. Well better than you would think.
Tai Chi teaches about balance, body awareness and breath awareness. Both can be applied to both.
