First I have to state the photo tells the story of me back in May 2011. I am good now largely thanks to Macmillan support. 

Most of my friends will know that 4 years ago I was diagnosed with nasal pharynx cancer. I am happy to say that I am in remission still even though my surgeon told me so definitely that I had less than 50% chance of living 5 years.

I went through surgery,  chemo and radiotherapy and to this point I have survived but all along my journey through the dreaded bastard of the Cword I had 100% support through many individuals working (some voluntary) for Macmillan.  Not only do they support me but my family too! 

I know the Dryathlon is normally for CR but I already give to CR on a regular basis do wanted to do my little bit for the people who have a skill to make you feel as if you are number 1 in their treatment and although they see a lot of tears and sadness they still raise a smile that only angels can give to give you the strength you need!

I chose the Dryathlon as I know many of you will know I also like a drink or 2. Some of you will even think I couldn't do such a thing. So please put your money where your mouth is and give to a good cause and I will prove you wrong and go dry for the whole month of January 2016!
