Trois Etapes · 28 July 2012

Right To Play protects, educates & empowers children to rise above adversity. Using the power of play we help them stay in school, withstand exploitation, prevent disease and heal from war and abuse. We enable them to make positive choices, creating better futures for themselves and their societies.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

From 28th - 31st July, I will be taking on the ultimate cycling challenge - riding one of the most renowned Alpine stages of the Tour de France - The Trois Etapes, to raise money for Right To Play and their work in Rwanda.

Riding as two teams of five, we hope to raise £200,000 to help improve the health and basic education of up to 64,000 children in Rwanda this year. With our help, Right To Play will continue to deliver critical sport & play programmes to build essential skills in children to drive social change in communities affected by war, poverty and disease.   Programmes target the most vulnerable including girls, people living with disabilities, children affected by HIV and AIDS, street children, former child combatants and refugees.  The aim is to create safe environments where children can learn and play freely without fear, and build confidence and leadership skills to enable children to take part in community issues and initiatives that impact their rights, health and wellness.

So please dig deep and donate now.
