Story
I am fundraising for Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust, to say thank you for everything they did to help my Brother, Barry Cooper, in June 2008. They gave him the best chance possible, and we as a Family are eternally grateful.
They rely solely upon public support to raise the £2.5m a year that is needed to keep the helicopter flying - That's £6,850 per day. The speed of the aircraft means that the highly trained Critical Care Paramedics and Doctors can be at any scene of a life-threatening Emergency within 4-11 minutes, dependent upon how far the incident is from the Devizes base. It's one of three Air Ambulances in Britain that can fly at night, enabling the life-saving work to continue after the sun goes down.
They can be at any Major Trauma Unit within 6-15 minutes - That's RUH Bath, SDH Salisbury, GWH Swindon, SMTC Southmead MTC, Southampton SMTC, and John Radcliffe JRMTC.
I have set myself a target of £500.00, and I enlist upon your support and generosity in raising money for this worthwhile cause, whilst remembering Barry Cooper.
