In 2019 I had to have a mechanical valve and piece of aorta replaced. I was unlucky and suffered a mini stroke during the operation leading to a week on life support, sepsis and pneumonia! The staff at the BHI were fantastic and looked after me so well.

I have played guitar and sung in bands for 40 years and have been writing and album of my own songs for 25 years. It is now finished and so I have dedicated the Christmas track to the BHI.
