Story
Show Racism The Red Card is an anti-racism educational charity. We aim to combat racism through enabling role models, who are predominately but not exclusively footballers, to present an anti-racist message to young people and others. Show Racism The Red Card acknowledges that racism changes, as do the experiences of Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities in the UK. Our message and activities therefore need to be able to respond to such changes as and when appropriate.
On the 22nd October the UK GBS I&D Team will be promoting Wear Red Day #WRD21 in support of Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) - the UK's largest anti-racism education charity in line with our initiatives for Black History Month. We will be asking all of our UK GBS colleagues to show your support by wearing something red on that day. There is also a very limited opportunity to get an exclusive SRtRC WRD21 T-Shirt, all we ask is that a picture is taken and posted on Twitter with the hashtag #WRD21, and make a nominal donation to the charity. The aim is to get #WRD21 trending at #1 on Twitter this year (it got to #5 last year).
