Help us build our new Ronald McDonald House Evelina London to provide a free 'home away from home' so families can stay together when they have a sick child in hospital.

Story

Thanks for visiting my team fundraising page. We've joined together as Drain Doctor to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.

The Dwyer Group is a franchising company based in Waco, Texas. Dwyer UK looks after multiple service brands in the UK, including Drain Doctor and Mr. Electric. Dwyer Group have worked closely with Ronald McDonald House Charities for some time, both in the states and in the UK.

At the recent Dwyer Europe annual convention, we had Ronald McDonald House Charities visit and talk with our network about how they can help to support the houses. We also had a couple of our franchise owners talk about the amazing work that Ronald McDonald House Charities do for children and families all across the globe. The Ronald McDonald Houses give the whole family a place to live whilst a child is in hospital and lets the family stay together, whilst giving the poorly child whatever care they need. No family should need to split up when they are already going through so much – so Dwyer Group wants to help as much as we can to give families a chance at normality to help them cope with everything.

After Ronald McDonald House Charities visited our network, brother-sister duo Aaron Clark and Natalie O’Brien, franchise owners of Drain Doctor London South West, wanted to do something to help raise money as they have had family members stay in a Ronald McDonald House and know how important the work they do is. So, they looked at the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46, and since the charity touched so many people in the network they picked up more participants very easily. We are now cycling 46 miles from London to Surrey to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities!

We have 10 participants from the franchise network and the Dwyer support office including; Natalie O’Brien, Aaron Clark, myself, Jim Watson, Michael Baddeley, David Baddeley, Joshua Barker, Michael Beesley, Helen Bond and Eloise Evans.

All participants including myself are the first to admit that they aren’t strong cyclist, especially when half of us don’t have bikes yet! However, we are all so enthusiastic about raising money for the Ronald McDonald houses and the families they support. We hope that you are able to support us in our journey with anything you can spare. When you donate, you will be helping a family when they need it most!

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails.
