Three Peaks in 24 Hours · 28 August 2015

Dundry's spectacular tower is a famous landmark from Bristol and for miles around! People have been coming to worship here for over 500 years. We are currently working on a major project to offer modern facilities in the church which will make the building more flexible for the community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing the Three Peaks Challenge at the end of August to donate to the local 'Raise the Roof' appeal, supporting the restoration of Dundry church.

The reason behind the appeal:

Dundry's church has been the centre of the village for over 500 years! Unfortunately our magnificent church had close with immediate effect recently, as the roof started to give way. Consequently, the children's choir and church services had to be relocated to the local British Legion, and weddings of those who had always imagined getting married there one day, had to be moved to churches nearby.

Roof repair may not seem much of a job, however the cost of the repair is a whopping £250,000!!!

Although it may take a while to raise this amount, the 'Raise the Roof' appeal is doing everything possible to get out church back up and running and bring our community back together.

Thank you for your support.
