Story
It’s a bit unusual to put up a Just Giving page after an
event, but on this occasion, it has worked out this way for a reason. I have just completed the 2 miles Serpentine Swim on Saturday 21st September on a beautiful sunny day in Hyde Park amongst something like 6,000 others. Originally this was a personal quest to qualify for The London Classics medal, I have been training for this for many months.
Closer to the day however Julie (my wife) was diagnosed with Breast
cancer, for which treatment has already started. In the recent past many of our friends and family have been in a similar situation.
I have set this page up so that those who may wish to do so
can drop in a small donation to help Breast Cancer Care charity with further research into this good cause and to support their quest to gain some control of this far too prevalent disease.
Thanks for reading this far, and for those interested I finished the two laps of the Serpentine in 1 hour 24 mins and 57 sec.
