Costa Rica/Nicaragua Bike Ride (Week 1) · 19 October 2014 to 27 October 2014 ·

Norwood supports and empowers neurodiverse children, their families and people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives.

Story

In October this year I’m back on the tandem again with a Norwood participant as the rear cyclist; Jason Ijady has autism and finds it very difficult to communicate.

The ride is approximately 450km from Jinotepe in Nicaragua to Puntarenas in Costa Rica in only 5 days. This is going to be a very hot, humid and hilly ride, made more difficult as Jason really doesn't cycle very much. The training is very much underway, but I need your support and encouragement, I truly hope that you will support me.

This year I have again set myself the goal of raising a minimum of £3,000 sponsorship money for Norwood.

Norwood believes that every individual has the right to determine and achieve their goals in life, and aims to make that possible for children and adults with learning disabilities. They also help families and people living with difficulties, including drug dependency and family break-up.

So please dig deep and donate now. Don’t forget to gift aid your donation. Norwood will be able to claim an additional 25% on top of your donation direct from the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to you.

Thank you so much for helping me to help others. Your donation will be greatly appreciated, and I will let you know how I get on.
