Kevin’s commitment to the social justice teachings of the Catholic Church were a guiding principle throughout his life. He was a keen supporter of international development and the first chair of the All Party Parliamentary Friends of CAFOD group. 

Throughout his life, Kevin spoke out against the poverty, injustice and inequality that existed throughout the world.  He championed the rights of the poorest and most marginalised around the world and also campaigned for an end to Third world debt.

Kevin was proud to be associated with CAFOD and the work they do, often in difficult circumstances, but continuously relentless in their actions to help protect and support those in this world who, through no fault of their own, have no voice.
