The team has done an incredible job and despite tired legs, and with only 11 days to go, we have extended our fundraising challenge to Dublin, adding an additional 450 miles to our challenge. Dublin is the home of our new colleagues at Global Diagnostics Ireland.

Medica has challenged our staff to collectively walk (run, row, swim or bike) 2600 miles throughout November. This is the distance between Latakia, Syria, the hometown of refugee Dr. Mo and Hastings, Sussex, UK the location of Medica HQ.

Medica is proud to support RefuAid, a UK-based charity that provides a scalable and sustainable solution to requalification for people in the UK who have fled war and persecution. This partnership will support refugee workers seeking a better life in the United Kingdom.

Medica and RefuAid have partnered to help support radiologists (such as Dr Mo) and radiographers who are refugees in the UK and are seeking financial support and advice on how to qualify and re-train to be able to work in the NHS system.
