Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Just before Christmas I lost a friend to Leukaemia. As with all cancers, there is a constant, urgent need for funding, in order to research and develop new drugs and techniques in the hope that one day this thing can be defeated.
So I decided to try and raise some cash. How would I go about it? Well, nothing spectacular or dangerous. I'm not going to cross continents on my elbows, or climb mountains on a pogo stick. Instead, I've gone for the humiliation angle. I'm going to grow a moustache. Yes, that's it, sorry. So from February 18th to June 19th, my birthday, I won't be shaving my stiff upper lip. That's FOUR MONTHS! Think of the shame, the name calling, the finger pointing! There will be updates and photos posted here charting the progress of the lip fuzz. If you are giving up your money then it's only fair that I give you visual evidence of the stages of the growth. Starting with the embarrassing pubescent schoolboy facial bumfluff to Gary Neville to Steve Collins, Ann Widdecombe, then more developed, possibly Fatima Whitbread. By June hopefully I will be negotiating Ned Flanders chicane, and heading into the final straight leading to moustache nirvana - Magnum P.I.
Now I know times are very difficult economically speaking, but please have a dig around and donate. Every donation, whatever size is very much appreciated. Here comes the boring, but important bit....
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. You can do so at any time, if you would rather wait until I am starting to look ridiculous, then thats's fine, you have four months to do so. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

£200 could buy 200 kits to extract DNA from blood samples to see if there are any genetic faults and help diagnose cancers more effectively.
£600 could pay for an MRD test, which improves the outcome for children with leukaemia by checking how they respond to treatment.
