ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC

Story

Hi everyone,

As you know I have been taking to Instagram & Facebook Live every Friday and doing mini gigs in my living room to provide much needed entertainment to us all during lockdown.

I've been blown away by your messages and your support and now I would like to go a little further and try to raise much needed funds for the NSPCC's Childline service.

My Mum and my Auntie have both volunteered for Childline so I know first hand how much this service is needed right now and as more and more fundraising events are cancelled they need our help more than ever.

For many children, being isolated at home isn't a good thing. There are thousands of children, young people and vulnerable families living in unhappy, abusive and dangerous households right now.

As of 18th April, Childline has received over 2,000 calls - with many children feeling scared, alone and for many, suicidal.

Childline and the NSPCC are STILL there for children, and we WILL beat this and continue to shine a light on every childhood.

So please help me, help them. If you can donate - no matter how small - to their emergency appeal, your contribution could help save a young person's life.

It costs the NSPCC £4 to answer a child's call to Childline. Every £4 we raise helps a child in need.

Thanks in advance and see you on Friday! Shabba!
