The Kent Team decided to start the walk before sun rising 06:30. We must be mad, as some only go to bed at 02:00. Anyway, everyone arrived bright and early to fill up with coffee and nut bars and loads of water. Very, Very positive spirit from absolutely everyone. The hardest part was walking was getting out of Dover; as it was all uphill but with the spirit of team effort everyone made it! We had some lovely walks through fields and lanes we would have never dreamt of going down. At around 17 miles people started feeling the strain then we found a small newsagent and ambushed it with everyone buying biscuits, chocolate and sweets. Like a school day out with secondary school children everyone was happy as they were filling their mouths sharing their goodies with each other. We got to our first stop but no one wanted to stop as we were more than half way through it. Everyone wanted to carry on! So we did!!
At 18:09 we completed our walk. Loads of aches and pains from all but still a positive as everyone were so pleased with their achievement. With all the hard work of everyone we covered an amazing 736 miles! What a great contribution to such an important charity. Well done to all that came and joined in. I am very proud of you all! And thank you to those who have supported us! Thank you, thank you and thank you!
