Myself and Marek (i'm dumb and he's definately dumber) have decided to stretch our legs a little in September and attempt the Great North Run!

Owing to my supreme athletic ability and Marek's supreme drinking ability one of us might find it a challenge, and the other will find it an even bigger challenge! We will, however, aim to train, run, complete and celebrate (with the latter being the only part where Marek is expected to take a lead)!

After all how difficult can it be? 13 miles with a few hills and 50,000 others to keep us company (or at least keep Marek company for the first hundred yards or so)!

We'd like you to join us, in mind if not body, by giving generously to this worthwhile cause, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, is added to your donation. Alternatively just send one of us an e-mail with your pledged amount. Though of course we won't get the extra bit that way, we know some people prefer the traditional way of sponsoring.

So, after the sharp intakes of breath followed by raucous laughter, disbelief has turned to genuine concern amongst all those who have heard of Marek's participation. You'll all therefore, he assumes, pledge generously, confident that your money will safely remain in your pockets!

Seriously, please sponsor us, we need the support, and look on the bright side if one of us doesn't finish you'll only have to pay half!
