Snowdon at Night 2023 · 2 September 2023 to 3 September 2023 ·
In 2021 I hiked 13 miles through the Yorkshire Dales in the pouring rain for Macmillan. It was tiring and physically demanding - I have been completely blind since I was 7. But I received a great deal of support from other walkers, marshals, farmers and passers-by, which kept me going. It was a day I'll remember for the rest of my life !
Now I'm ready for a bigger challenge and it's Snowdon!
I have wanted to stretch myself ever since my Mighty Hike and I was thrilled when Macmillan told me I'd been accepted for the Snowdon Night Hike.
It won't be easy, physically or mentally for me and my sighted assistant but I'm up for the challenge and keen to raise as much as I can for Macmillan.
Macmillan Cancer Support is such a marvellous organisation. For many years I worked as a social worker with Kirklees Council, assessing people for services when they became ill with cancer. Time and time again we turned to Macmillan for help and they never let us down. Great advice, vital services, I’m a huge fan of Macmillan and thrilled to have the opportunity to help them.
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure.
