Jeans for Genes Mufti Day · 17 September 2020

500,000 children in the UK are affected by a life-altering genetic disorder. Get your colleagues and pupils in jeans on any day that works for you at school and help us raise funds to transform these children's lives.

Story

We would like to invite students at King's House to wear jeans on Thursday 17th September (or Wednesday 16th September for Year 2 and Year 5) in support of Jeans for Genes, an annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK.

The monies raised on Jeans for Genes Day provide grants for day-to-day support, equipment, respite and events which bring together affected children and their families. There are between 4,000 and 6,000 diagnosed genetic disorders. It is estimated that one in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder and therefore 30,000 babies and children are newly diagnosed in the UK each year.

As this is a charity fundraiser, we also kindly request that you make a suggested donation of £2 per student via this JustGiving page. If you have any queries then please do contact jdcharity@kingshouseschool.org or sdcharity@kingshouseschool.org.

Kind regards,
Lucy Jones & Ioana Gheorghe
