Story
As a school, we feel it is important to continue with some of our charitable work during this period of remote schooling.
To this end, we have decided to turn our annual House Art Competition into a virtual charity fundraiser to raise much needed funds for NHS Charities Together. NHS Charities Together provides a forum for nationwide fundraising and advocacy campaigns for our National Health Service. There are more than 240 NHS charities across the UK and most of them focus on helping our hospitals do more. Collectively these charities give £1 million every day to the NHS so that people can stay well for longer and get better faster. In recent years NHS charities have funded major capital projects, pioneering research and medical equipment at our hospitals, helping patients access the best possible care when they need it most.
We would like to invite our students in Years 4-8 to recreate a famous landmark using only the materials in their home. We encourage the boys to be as creative as possible and to think about how they can use different objects, materials and people in their home to create their masterpiece as either a model or a piece of artwork.
The competition will run until Friday 26th March 2021 and submissions can be made on Google Classroom to the Charity House Art Competition assignment. There will be a winner and runner up in each year group as well as overall school winners.
As this is a charity fundraiser, we also kindly request that you make a suggested donation of £3 to NHS Charities Together via this JustGiving page. If you have any queries then please do get in touch.
Kind regards,
