The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

I have been doing the charity races for The Lady Garden Foundation since they started and I was looking forward to this year's race too. Little did I, or anyone else, know that we would be in the middle of a pandemic at the time of their annual charity run. So, when this opportunity to do it came along, I jumped at the chance. And, even better, this time my family are able to join.

Last weekend, we did another charity fundraising event running, biking and scooting 5 km and we want to beat our distance (5.85 km) in a similar time of 38 minutes (legs of little boy permitting).

Save the UK's Charities

General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
