I am proud to say that on the 25th November 2023 I will participating in an ultra white collar boxing charity fight in which all donations will be donated to cancer research. This charity is a charity in which is close to not just my heart but my family’s heart too. My family and I haven’t been through the greatest of times in the past we have gone through some really testing times. We have lost many people through cancer. 

My Auntie Tania being one, who was such an inspiration to us all and her family deserve to be praised to the fullest as they are doing a smashing job having had lost her sister and brother due to brain and skin cancer in previous years to her.

My Auntie Kathy who passed away due to an aggressive brain tumour. She was my rock as I was growing up taking care of me and my cousins but especially took to be the biggest part of my upbringing besides my mum and dad. I adored her and she was my absolute world. Again her two kids and her siblings and mum (my Nan) deserve the biggest praise as they smashed life since the day the piece of my auntie was missing from them.

My Uncle Andy who didn’t die through cancer but was alongside just as important to me as any of my family members who used to call me mini Helen after my mum. 

My Nan Jean who again didn’t die of cancer but is the most recent family member of mine with possibly the biggest impact on my life that I have lost due to Covid-19. This was the hardest part of my life and having to accept I will not see her again and she is the first grandparent I have lost at 21 years old. I love you Nan.

Alongside me and my family I know many families around me that have also lost members of their family to cancer or fighting cancer. To take part in something also in memory of there family and to a charity that may be affective to them means a lot to me.
