We raise money to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Story

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre.

My late grandfather, Anthony Dawe, contractedl cancer in 2010. For 7 years he fought a losing battle with the illness, and the Royal Marsden were with him every step of the way. The charity provided amazing support, which made his life not only better, but longer. My family can now live with the fact that he died peacefully and happily thanks to the selfless work done by the Royal Marsden day in, day out. The kindness of the charity was so great that my grandfather asked for attendees of his funeral to make a donation to the charity rather than buy flowers.

In order to show my gratitude to the Royal Marsden, I would love to be able to give something back. For this reason, I am taking part in the Endurance80 challenge hike in order to raise money. The hike lasts for 24 hours, in which participants must walk and navigate an 80 km (50 mile) course. http://www.endurance80.org.uk/about-e80

I will be incredibly grateful if you would be willing to sponsor this walk by donating to the Royal Marsden. I can assure you through my own experience that the money really does make a difference to people’s lives. Thank you
