Hello everyone. I am running for Petals, the baby loss counselling charity and  I’m asking all my family and friends to help support me in raising much needed funds. 

As many of you will know, my eldest daughter Alice and her husband Dave had a beautiful daughter Vera in October 2016. Very sadly she was stillborn and they relied heavily on the support that Petals provided. Still to this day Petals continue to support Alice and Dave as they navigate parenting their three lovely boys alongside Vera.

I am going to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 8 October this year with the aim of raising £2000 for Petals!

Petals provide specialist counselling service for women, men and couples who have suffered the devastating loss of a pregnancy or death of a baby.It is a sad reality that in the UK, 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, 1 in 200 babies will be stillborn every year, over 5000 pregnancies will be terminated for medical reasons each year and 24 babies die shortly after birth every single week. Petals delivers hundreds of counselling sessions every month. Each session cost Petals £80, I would like my sponsorship to fund as many sessions as possible, so many more parents can be supported. So every donation counts!
