Well we survived the Gael Force challenge and we wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone for their support.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the famous four become the famous two; however we still managed to get very close to our original total thanks to your support.

The challenge was a great day and we even had some occasional sunshine to add to the fun in the west of Ireland.

The Famous Two

Ok so we don't look like the usual adventure race mob that run up and down mountains for fun, however we've done the training and we're keen so here we go.

Gael Force West is a 65km 'Adventure Race' which consists of six back to back sections which are completed under race conditions. 

The race starts with a 12km run, followed by 1.5km kayak, 3.5km trail run, 32.5km cycle, 4.5km mountain climb and finishes with a 12.5km cycle. The aim is to finish the race in one piece and hopefully enjoy the fantastic race scenery along the way. 

The race starts in County Galway in the West of Ireland and finishes in Westport County Mayo. It's a great race and a brilliant opportunity to raise money for a very worthy cause.
