Story
Hiya, I’m Kieran! I’m taking on Walk 100 Miles in June for Mind — and every step is for someone who feels like they’ve run out of options.
Right now, Mind’s phone lines are the busiest they’ve ever been. In the UK, 1 in 4 of us will face a mental health problem this year, yet mental health services are increasingly overwhelmed and underfunded, and too many still wait in silence. For both those affected and for their loved ones, Mind is often their only lifeline — on the phone, in local communities, and fighting for change so no one is left behind and everyone has access to life-saving support in a timely manner.
Please support my 100 Miles in June challenge by donating to my fundraising page 🫶 Your donation will ensure that information and support are available for everyone — on Mind's website, the helplines they run, and throughout their online community, Side by Side. I know firsthand how critical it is to have open access to this information, so you know you’re not alone in your struggles, and even more importantly, to have access to rapid, non-judgemental person-to-person support that can help guide you through the darkest clouds to a place where you can feel hopeful again.
I will (hopefully) be linking Strava to this page so anyone who wants to can track my progress! (If technology fails me, at the very least I will post daily updates on this page!)
Thank you 💙
