I am taking part in the 7 challenges to raise money in memory of a truly inspiring woman, Bernadette mckendry. The pain that me and my mates are enduring through our training for the various crazy events chosen by Jonny, is nothing in comparison to what she must have endured even though she made it all seem like just a niggle or a minor inconvenience because of her exceptionally positive attitude.

Since my fundraising began the charity has taken on new meaning for me with my wife's diagnosis and treatment for skin cancer and my dads ongoing treatment for chronic lymphatic leukaemia. I have seen first hand the top notch care that the Christie provide for their patients and what an worthy cause this is.
