We are climbing Kilimanjaro in September and have been asked by numerous people if we are doing it for charity so... here we are! 

It is a self-funded trip so all donations will go directly to the charity.

Dementia is a horrible, scary illness which has touched each of our families in one way or another. Seeing a loved one go through these memory struggles is difficult. Genesis Care NW are a charity local to us who provide a well-being and respite care service for older people. 

Older people can attend their centre and be provided with lunch and group activities such as arts and crafts and exercises which keep their brain active!

Genesis currently run out of Chorley Methodist Church and are rapidly reaching capacity. It is their aim to obtain a permanent premises to hopefully provide a unique respite hotel for dementia sufferers with a holiday feel.
