Story
On January 16th 2014 I’m heading to Tanzania in an attempt to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, to raise money for Children’s Services at Morriston Hospital and the Local Aid ‘Buddies Project’.
The Local Aid ‘Buddies Project’ is a volunteer group that provides support, opportunities and activities for young people with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Recently awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (the MBE for volunteer groups), the ‘Buddies Project’ also delivers quality training for staff, volunteers and parents to help them better support young people and their families.
The focus of this climb is to obviously raise as much money as we possibly can, therefore this expedition is being entirely self-funded. This means every penny of your kind donations will go to straight to the Local Aid ‘Buddies Project’, helping to fund this fantastic operation and enabling them to maintain their award winning support and contribution to the lives of young people in the area.
Every single donation, big or small, is very much appreciated!
Thank you for making a difference!
