The Jordan Jay Trust has been established to raise funds for research into the treatment of late Infantile Battens - also known as CLN2. The development of therapies will directly benefit 500 children that are diagnosed with this devastating disease throughout the world and could be a potential cure for another 40 genetic disorders, saving the lives of thousands of children.

Story

Alan Brooking & Chris Keeble thank you for visiting their fund raising page.

In the two years since we established the Jordan Jay Trust we have been heartened by the repeated generosity of our many friends and supporters. This support has led to the first major accomplishment, when your support meant that Jasmine was able to fly to New York to undergo pioneering brain surgery, in her fight against Batten's Disease.

In late January we embarked on an adventure to Tanzania, aiming to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro on the night of the full moon of 2nd February. In the preceeding six days we tested ourselves beyond any of our previous experience, and attained goals never before imagined. On the night of the summit climb, the thunder and rain quickly turned to snow and ice, obliterating the full moon, and making the ascent a very slippery challenge. However at the summit the sun wove it's magic and the views would have taken your breath away, had you anyleft to spare!

Kilimanjaro is a magical place, and looks a thousand per cent better when crowned with snow.

We were delighted to have taken this challenge and even more delighted that due to the support of our great friends, we were able to raise so much for the JJT. Every penny raised has gone directly to the JJT.

Both Jordan and Jasmine will soon be flying to China for some pioneering stem cell treatment, and all thanks to your support. You are truly special, blessed and extremely generous people.

We just want to say THANK YOU to you all.
