Thank you for taking you time to read and find our fund raising page!!! In September Mike and I (Bill) are visiting Tanzania to take on Mount Kilimanjaro to raise £5,000 for YoungMinds. In the top right corner of our page you can see our goal and how close we are, with your help we can hope to smash this goal by September. We had a hard time deciding what charity we chose to raise money for. With many considerations including, Cancer Research UK, multiple Dementia charities and many more, we ended up settling on YoungMinds. Why YoungMinds? - Mental health effects everyone around the world, all in its own way at various stages in our life. It is unfortunate to say that every 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England alone. The harsh truth of mental illness is the stigma of not speaking up about how we are feeling in our heads, we find we are often too scared to talk about it. This has a dramatic effect on each individual not understanding what to do and end up dealing with it alone. No one should ever go through anything on their own. We choose to raise money for YoungMinds as the charity is fantastic at supporting individuals regardless of any race, ability, age, gender or socio-economic background. Mind focus on providing help so no one person has to face any type of mental health issue alone. We aim to raise a staggering £5,000 for mind to help out as they help us.
