I am heading to Brighton in April with a group of friends, some also running and some supporting the Brighton marathon.
This will be my first ever marathon, and due to an injury I will be run/walking, also known as 'Jeffing' For the non-runners amongst you this is a run/walk plan by a man called Jeff Galloway which still enables people to complete the marathon distance.
My chosen charity is Patterdale Mountain rescue. For those of you who know me you will also know my love of the Lake District. I have spent many holidays in the Lakes and have many memories. Mountain rescue can be called on 24/7 and a few years ago were called upon to help my auntie when she broke her ankle on the fells. Knowing I'll be helping this charity will keep me going when the miles begin to get tough!
