I'm raising money for Action Radiotherapy, the UK's only charity dedicated to improving radiotherapy. 40% of cancer cures are thanks to radiotherapy but it suffers from poor public awareness and that means it gets underrepresented and underfunded. Action Radiotherapy are trying to change that by lobbying Government, promoting all things radiotherapy-related and supporting radiotherapy patients and professionals.

I'm proud to be part of the Action Radiotherapy Champions Network and together with radiotherapy friends, we are undertaking a number of running challenges this summer to raise money for Action Radiotherapy. These include the Great North Run Solo (attempting 40 runs in 78 days to celebrate the 40th birthday of the Great North Run) plus 5K and 10K virtual races on 5th July, 2nd August and 13th September. My personal challenge is a first-time couch to 5k by September 13th. I am a total novice runner but looking forward to taking this on! Please support this amazing cause!
